Shelly Thomas

Shelly is a paralegal with 34 years of legal experience including probate administration, estate planning, corporate, real estate and complete litigation case management. She began her legal career in Wahpeton, North Dakota as a Legal Secretary to the senior partner in the law firm of Johnson, Milloy, Johnson, Stokes & Robinson. She moved to Longmont, Colorado in the late 1970s and began working at Flanders, Woods, Schuetze & Steinkamp in August 1981. From 1985 – 1997, Shelly worked for a personal injury law firm in Boulder, returning to Flanders, Stover, Elsberg & Ellis in 1997 and since that time has weathered the retirement of partners, the addition of partners and a merger.

When not working, Shelly enjoys spending time with her family, traveling (a beach bum at heart), attending NASCAR races, cheering for the Colorado Avalanche, reading and listening to country music. She is also a charter season ticketholder for the Colorado Eagles hockey team. She has a rescue dog (Chevie) that she and her husband rescued through Pure Hearts Puppy Rescue in December 2013 that keeps her busy in the empty-nester portion of her life.
